About Us

Sydney Artisans was founded in 2023 by cousins and market lovers Celina Pereira and Nalita Ferraz.

Celina and Nalita first began showcasing their products at markets around Sydney in 2019. They developed a bond with other market stallholders and soon fell in love with this community.

After years of being on the seller side of markets, they hatched a plan to bring together all the things they loved most about markets to create their own events.

They started with a small 25-stall outdoor Christmas market in Sydney’s south-west in December 2023,
which was a success despite the 40-degree heat of the day. The unpredictability of the weather told them they needed to find an indoor venue
that could house at least double the number of stalls with adequate space outside for food trucks and food vendors, easy accessibility to public
transport and plenty of parking, with a reasonable hiring cost.

The Sydney Portugal Community Club (Fraser Park) with its generous-sized Pavilion, grounds and facilities ticked all the boxes for this
entrepreneurial pair. The number of visitors to their market more than doubled from their first event to their second, and bumper crowds are
expected to join in the fun in 2025.
