1. About these Terms These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of our website sydneyartisans.com.au and any related services (the “Website”). By using the Website, you agree to these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new version on the Website.

2. Who We Are Sydney Artisans Market organises curated artisan markets in Sydney (currently 3 times per year at Sydney Portugal Community Club, Marrickville). We also operate a stallholder portal, artisan directory, and online shop for merchandise.

3. Using the Website

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Website.
  • You agree to provide accurate information when using forms, applications, or accounts.
  • You must not use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage or impair the Website.

4. Stallholder Applications & Bookings

  • Applications to join the Sydney Artisans Network are free and subject to our approval.
  • Approved stallholders gain access to the Stallholder Portal.
  • Stall bookings and payments are made through our Shopify storefront. All payments are processed securely by Shopify.
  • Once payment is made, you are committed to the event. Our cancellation and transfer policy is:
    • Cancellations up to 14 days before the event: fee transferred to the next market (only once).
    • Cancellations within 14 days: full forfeiture of fees.
    • Event proceeds in all weather unless a severe weather warning or force majeure event occurs, in which case fees will be transferred to the next market.
  • Full stallholder rules (including setup, conduct, insurance, cleaning, and photography consent) are in our Stallholder Terms & Conditions and Stallholder Manual. By booking a stall you agree to both.

5. Stallholder Portal

  • Only approved stallholders may log in.
  • In the portal you can view market information, apply for future markets, and make payments.
  • You must keep your login details secure and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

6. Online Shop & Merchandise

  • We sell merchandise directly on the Website via Shopify.
  • All sales are subject to Shopify’s payment processing terms.
  • Refunds/exchanges for merchandise follow our shop policy (visible at checkout).

7. Intellectual Property

  • All content on the Website (text, images, logos, etc.) belongs to Sydney Artisans Market or our licensors.
  • Artisans retain ownership of their own work and images. By submitting photos, videos, or product information, you grant us a royalty-free, worldwide licence to use them to promote you, the market, and the Website (including on social media and the directory).
  • By attending a market, stallholders consent to being photographed and videoed for promotional purposes.

8. User-Generated Content

  • When you upload photos, documents (e.g. insurance certificates), or other content, you warrant that you have all necessary rights and permissions.
  • We may remove any content that we consider inappropriate.

9. Liability

  • We do our best to keep the Website accurate and up-to-date, but we do not guarantee it is error-free.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Website, stall bookings, or attendance at our markets (except where we cannot exclude liability under the Australian Consumer Law).
  • Stallholders are responsible for their own public liability insurance and compliance with all laws.

11. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
